- Undergraduate (14 Faculties) and Graduate (16 Graduate Schools)

Degree-seeking international students enrolled at undergraduate and graduate programs study together with Japanese students. Degree courses offered entirely in English are also available.
Established in 1875, Doshisha University is one of the most prominent private universities in Japan and home to more than 29,000 students studying at 14 faculties and 16 graduate schools, the Center for Global Education and the Center for Japanese Language and Culture. In 2009 the university was selected by Monbukagakusho as a member of the “Global 30 Project for Establishing Core Universities for Internationalization”, and is working to further enhance the study environment for international students. Specifically, we offer degree courses whose classes are entirely conducted in English, and established a new faculty for further promotion of our internationalism. Conveniently located in the center of the ancient capital Kyoto, and with its own long history and tradition, Doshisha University offers international students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study together with fellow Japanese and international students while experiencing traditional Japanese art and culture.
